What is a JSLLC Special Purpose Entity?
A Special Purpose Entity is a pass-through partnership that exists solely for the purpose of obtaining Pennsylvania Education Improvement Credits (EITC/OSTC). It enables the individual's Pennsylvania tax liability to flow through it for the purpose of participating in the EITC/OSTC program. It is the SPE which makes the application to the Commonwealth on behalf of its members.
Membership in a JSLLC SPE is your vehicle to participation in the EITC/OSTC program to benefit our region's Jewish schools.
Thanks to the members of the JSLLC Special Purpose Entities, EITC and OSTC funds have provided needs-based scholarships to children attending the 10 Jewish day schools and 25+ Jewish preschools in the Philadelphia region.

The Jewish Scholarship, LLC makes contributions to our local Jewish schools through the Foundation for Jewish Day Schools, a 501(c)(3) organization.
In the 2017-2018 school year, over $6.5 million in needs-based scholarships were awarded to children attending a Jewish day school in our region. In addition, nearly $800,000 in scholarships were awarded to over 200 children enrolled in Jewish preschool programs.
